The Parenting Clinic is a part of the UCSD Child & Teen Psychiatric Care Program and is led by Dr. William Pelham, PhD.
Dr. Pelham is a licensed child/adolescent psychologist (CA #33091) and Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the UC San Diego School of Medicine.

We offer group therapy for parents.
Additional services for children, teens, and families will be offered in the future.
Our specialty is helping kids and teens with hyperactivity, impulsivity, arguing, losing their temper, or emotional outbursts. Many of the kids and teens we see have one or more of the following diagnoses:
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD)
Conduct Disorder (CD)
Intermittent Explosive Disorder (IED)
Disruptive Mood Dysregulation Disorder (DMDD)
Dr. Pelham is an expert in evidence-based parenting techniques and has worked with hundreds of children and families struggling with these problems.
New groups will be starting in January 2024 and offered in both in-person and Zoom teleconference formats.
To enroll in our groups, you must be referred by a provider within UCSD Health.
